Rwenzori Mountains National park is a UNESCO World Heritage site that encompasses the Rwenzori Mountains on the international border between Uganda and DR Congo.

The Rwenzori mountains support the richest montane flora in Africa with spectacular snow-capped peaks, glaciers, fast-flowing rivers with magical waterfalls and unique plant life.

The Rwenzori mountains have Africa's third highest mountain peak at more than 5,000 metres above sea level.

For travellers, Mount Rwenzori is great for hiking and mountain climbing. It is famously regarded as the toughest mountain to climb and summit in Africa, despite only being the third tallest.
