Hoopoe African Expeditions is a local Ugandan tour and travel company specializing in tailor-made safari holidays in Uganda and Rwanda.
Hoopoe was founded by 2 friends and safari guides - Sam Bamwesigye and Hamidu Juuko.
Sam and Ham (as they are fondly called) are both born and bred in Uganda and have led trips around Uganda and Rwanda for more than 20 years. With our years of experience and local knowledge, we work hard to plan and execute the safari packages that are well suited for the specific needs of our guests.
Whether you are travelling solo, as a couple, family or small group, we can design something that is just specific for your travel interests.
Our team has experienced the full diversity of the two countries, and we are expert safari designers who will create your tailor-made itinerary that suites your budget.
Given that both Sam and Ham are Founder members of USAGA (Uganda Safari Guides Association) an association for professional tour guides in Uganda, you can be sure that our safari guides are top-notch professionals.
Currently, Sam and Ham both serve as board members of USAGA.
