MURCHISON FALLS, KIBALE, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARKS 8 DAYS, 7 NIGHTS

Day 1: Drive to Murchison

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 AM in the morning and you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you can track rhinoceroses on foot.

After the rhino walk in Ziwa, you will continue to Murchison Falls NP and arrive in the evening. You then check into your lodge and relax.

Day 2: Murchison Falls NP Game drive, Boat Cruise

We'll start the day early with breakfast before going to a morning game drive in the park. On this game drive, expect to see many wild animals such as lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes and much more.

You will return to the lodge for lunch and then go for the afternoon boat cruise on the river Nile leading you to the bottom of Murchison Falls. On the cruise, you will see many animals along the river bank including hippos, crocodiles and many more.

Your boat will come close to the bottom of the falls and experience the power of the Nile as the river squeezes through a 7-metre gap in the rock and plummets down 40 metres.

This is the world’s most powerful waterfall and is said to be the greatest thing to ever happen to the Nile. You then drive to your lodge to retreat from the day’s activities.

Day 3: Drive to Kibale

Today, the quest for adventure drives us to an early morning transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. The approximately 8 hrs drive traversing the escarpment which gives a panoramic view of Lake Albert.

If it’s a rainy season you can even see the Blue Mountains across the border in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Albertine region has it all!! Transit-stop at Hoima town for lunch and then proceed to Africa’s largest hardwood forest.

Relax at Ndali for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale

This Morning, wake up with zeal for adventure, listen to the briefing by the park ranger and enter the forest for your chimpanzee tracking activity.

Kibale Forest is the largest hardwood forest south of the Sahara and is a haven for more than 12 monkey species and forest elephants among others. The guide provides detailed information regarding the different plant/tree species and the diversity of animals that roam the dense forest.

After an exciting adventure, return to the lodge for lunch and then take an evening walk in the Bigodi swamp. The walk creates an avenue for wildlife that lives in and around the swamp especially birds that are endemic to the area.

Spend the rest of the evening at your accommodation facility.

Day 5: Drive to Queen Elizabeth

This morning, the Safari leads to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in time for lunch after which you embark on a boat ride on Kazinga Channel and this opens you to fascinating views of large numbers of hippos, crocodiles and abundant bird life.

Relax for the rest of the evening at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Game drive in Queen

Today is total dedication to game-viewing!!! Named after Queen of England, the park is gifted with a diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters that are home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.

Game viewing rides offer a possibility to see lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, Cape buffalo, elephants, de Fassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bushbuck. The boat on Kazinga Channel and the 2 game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park give a chance to explore the diversity of wildlife the park has to offer.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo

It's time to leave this morning and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park as you continue to explore Uganda’s abundant wildlife. The drive itself takes you through banana plantations, farms of the Long-horned Ankore cattle, villages and trading centres.

Feel free to ask your guide to stop for pictures and sight views. Arrival at Lake Mburo National Park is in time for lunch after which you embark on an exciting and scenic boat ride on L.Mburo.

The unique vegetation offers another opportunity to see hippos and crocodiles as well as bird species some of which are endemic to the park hence making the ride immensely attractive. Your dinner and overnight are reserved at either Mantana Tented Camp or Muhingo Lodge.

Day 8: Walking Safari, Drive to Kampala

Today, get your walking shoes on and follow your guide for a walking safari. This is a unique and unrivalled experience that the park offers given the fact that there are no carnivores recorded in L.Mburo NP.

Get to see Zebras, Elands and Impalas among others on foot. Arrival is late evening with a drop-off at either the airport for an evening flight or hotel in Kampala.
