Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's biggest national park located in northwestern Uganda. The park is crossed by the river Nile which dissects it into 2 almost equal parts.
The park is named after the Murchison Falls which is a prominent feature of the national park where the waters of the Nile squeeze through a 7-metre gap and plunge 40 metres below in a thundering fashion.
The park is well known for wildlife such as elephants, hippos, giraffes, lions, leopards, Uganda kob, buffaloes, birds, and so much more.

Getting to Murchison Falls
Murchison Falls is located around 280 kilometres northwest of Kampala - Uganda's capital city. Driving from Kampala to Murchison Falls takes 4 to 5 hours by road.
You can also fly directly from Kampala, or other national parks to Murchison Falls using domestic chartered flights.
