This trip takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you get to explore the natural abundance of Uganda's most popular national park. With diverse ecosystems, Queen Elizabeth National Park has a unique combination of natural landscapes, animals and birds.

In Queen, you will see many animals such as lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, hippos, chimpanzees, monkeys, waterbuck, Topi, Uganda kob and many more. You will also go on a boat cruise along the kazinga channel where you will see more animals as they concentrate near the shore for drinking water and a cooling bath.

On the last day, an early morning walk in the spectacular Kyambura gorge provides excellent opportunities to see chimpanzees, black and white Colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and more.

Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Our Guide/driver will pick you up from your residence/hotel in Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning and you will drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The journey from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth NP will take around 7 hours with a stop at the equator line and another stop in Mbarara for your lunch.

You will go through the rolling countryside of central and southwestern Uganda and reach Queen Elizabeth National Park in time for a short evening game drive. On the short game drive, you will see some animals like elephants, buffalos, Uganda kobs, hippos, lions, etc.

Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Hostel

Day 2: Wildlife game drive & boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth NP

After your early breakfast, we'll go for an early morning game drive where you will get to experience the wilderness as it 'fully wakes up'. On the game drive, you will see many animals both big and small as well as some birds and primates.

Among the animals present in Queen are elephants, hippos, leopards, lions, buffalos, warthogs, topi, hippos, Uganda kob, Crocodiles, monitor lizards and more.

In the afternoon, you will go on a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel where you can enjoy seeing more animals and birds as they crowd the water banks. You will see lots more birds, hippos, crocodiles, sitatungas and elephants.

Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Mweya Hostel.

Day 3: Chimp tracking, Back to Kampala

After your breakfast, we'll transfer to Kyambura gorge for a chance at watching some primates - chiefly the chimpanzees.

After a briefing on chimp tracking, we'll start our chimp tracking escorted by rangers who will share great information about chimps and the Kyambura gorge.

After our chimp tracking, we'll leave Queen Elizabeth and head for Kampala. We'll stop for Lunch in Mbarara and then drive back to Kampala or Entebbe where you will be dropped off to end the safari.
